The Boring Legal Stuff
(Made Less Boring)
Look, we get it. Legal pages are about as exciting as watching paint dry. But this stuff matters, so we made it digestible. Here's what you need to know about your privacy and our promises.
Your Privacy is Sacred
The TL;DR: We don't see your stuff. We don't want to see your stuff. Your stuff is your stuff.
When you record your screen, yes, it needs to travel through the internet (shocking, we know). But here's the deal: Your videos take a quick vacation to Google's fortress-like secure servers, get processed faster than you can say "artificial intelligence," and then—poof!—they're gone. Deleted. Vanished. Like they never existed.
Fort Knox-Level Security
Internet Required? Yep. (It's 2025, everything needs internet. Even your toaster probably does.)
Your recordings are encrypted during their brief journey to processing land. Think of it like sending your video in an armored truck with ninjas guarding it. Once processed, the video is immediately deleted from our servers. Not archived. Not backed up. Not saved "just in case." Deleted. Gone. Kaput.
Local Storage Only
After the AI works its magic, everything stays on YOUR machine. Your videos, your prompts, your genius ideas—all stored locally on your Mac. We don't keep copies. We don't have a secret vault. We don't even have a not-so-secret vault.
The Bottom Line
You can confidently record anything—your top-secret project, your banking dashboard (though maybe don't), or that embarrassing bug you've been trying to fix for three days.
- ✓No human ever sees your recordings
- ✓Videos are deleted immediately after processing
- ✓All data stays local on your machine
- ✓We couldn't access your stuff even if we wanted to (and we don't)
The Actual Legal Bit
By using VideoPrompting, you acknowledge that: (1) An internet connection is required for processing, (2) Videos are temporarily uploaded to secure servers for AI processing and immediately deleted thereafter, (3) No data is retained on our servers post-processing, (4) All generated content is stored locally on your device, (5) We have no access to, nor do we monitor, view, or store your screen recordings or generated prompts, (6) You maintain full ownership and control of all your content, (7) We use industry-standard encryption during transmission, (8) You're responsible for what you choose to record (please be sensible), and (9) We're really serious about that whole "we don't keep your stuff" thing. This isn't some sneaky legal loophole. We literally don't want your data. We're here to make your life easier, not creepier.
Last updated: January 2025. If we change anything important, we'll let you know. Promise.
Had enough legal jargon?
